Voku was created to combine a fast, uncluttered Sudoku board with explanations you can use before, during, and after a solve. The product is deliberately small: no account is required, the current game survives a reload, and the daily challenge gives every player the same UTC-based board.
Standard, Zen, and Daily modes share keyboard navigation, notes, undo, limited hints, manual pause, local best times, completion history, and streak tracking. A completed result can be shared as text or exported as a branded PNG without exposing the solved grid.
Difficulty is tied to a documented logical evaluator instead of clue count alone. The daily selection is deterministic and corpus-versioned. Educational pages explain the same techniques the evaluator models, so labels, gameplay, and guidance describe one coherent system.
The checked-in voku-corpus-2026-07-31-v2 corpus contains 450 distinct puzzles: 150 for each current difficulty. Release validation checks structure, clue consistency, uniqueness, corpus duplication, and the stored solution. A separate deterministic evaluator replays naked singles, hidden singles, locked candidates, naked pairs, and hidden pairs to audit the published label.
Easy means the modeled singles are enough. Medium means the evaluator finishes after using at least one modeled elimination technique. Hard means that model stops with unresolved cells; it does not claim that a particular advanced method is always required. Every category still requires a unique solution.
Voku currently has no account backend. The active board, settings, consent choices, local statistics, recent history, and daily streak stay in this browser's local storage. They do not automatically sync to another device and can disappear if browser storage is cleared. Analytics and advertising are configurable but disabled by default; no ad activation is implied by this page.
